Attune Focus · by TarZo

Privacy policy

Your activity history stays on your computer. Optional feedback leaves your device only when you choose to send it.

Effective 15 September 2026. This policy covers the Attune Focus Windows app (also called Attune in earlier builds), its optional browser companion and this website. TarZo is the publisher and operates the feedback service.

Activity information on your device

The app processes application names and identifiers, foreground and background usage intervals, active/idle/passive classifications, focus sessions, rules and usage summaries. It uses Windows last-input timestamps to identify recent interaction. Brief process CPU measurements help estimate whether supported background apps are working; those raw measurements are not stored.

Tracking does not collect typed characters, key codes, pointer coordinates, click locations, clipboard contents, screenshots or document contents. Window titles are excluded by default. If you choose the optional Full title setting for an application, its window titles can be stored locally and may contain personal information.

Browser information

For supported browsers, the app may read the active address bar through Windows accessibility information and immediately reduce it to a domain. The optional browser companion reports non-private tab domains and limited state such as focus and audio, and applies website rules. Full URL paths, queries, page contents and page titles are not retained by this browser tracking. Private and incognito activity is excluded.

Daily website limits store local domain/time intervals for sites with an enabled limit. Current tab information is kept in local connection files; clean disconnection removes these records and stale records are ignored. Browser activity is not sent to our feedback service.

Storage, retention and your controls

History is stored in a local SQLite database under your Windows user account, in the Attune application-data folder. It is protected by your Windows account’s file permissions, not a separate app encryption password. The app does not provide cloud synchronization of this history.

You can pause tracking, exclude applications, adjust title privacy, export summaries and configure history retention. Excluding an application stops future collection and hides its existing history from normal reports; it does not erase all historical database rows. Exported files are under your control and are not removed by history retention.

Uninstalling can leave local data in place so you can reinstall without losing history. To remove all local Attune data, exit the app and remove the Attune folder under your Windows LocalAppData directory. This also removes local settings, rules and saved feedback; keep any exports you need first.

Feedback you choose to send

Settings → Feedback sends your title and message, app version, Windows platform label and a random identifier for that report to our Supabase-hosted feedback service. No account, persistent device identifier or activity history is attached automatically. Your message may contain personal information if you include it; share only what is needed.

Feedback is used to investigate problems and improve the app. Reports are private to the team administering Attune Focus, rather than posted to a public issue tracker. The service is hosted in Supabase’s Mumbai region, India; processing may therefore take place outside your country. Service providers receive normal connection information such as IP addresses. The app does not write IP addresses into the feedback table.

Reports currently remain until the team deletes them; there is no automatic feedback-retention schedule. To ask about or request deletion of a report, send a new in-app message with “Privacy request” in the title and identify the original report by its receipt if available, or its title and approximate date. Do not send passwords or sensitive documents. “Save a copy” creates a local text file and does not submit feedback.

Updates, downloads and this website

In website-installed builds, requested update checks and downloads contact GitHub and its download infrastructure. Update requests include the app version. Store-installed builds use Microsoft Store for updates. These providers receive normal network information and handle it under their own policies.

This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Visiting it sends standard connection and request information, such as your IP address, browser information and requested page, to the hosting infrastructure. Download links use GitHub. We have not added advertising trackers or a visitor-analytics service to the site. Infrastructure providers may retain operational or security logs under their own policies.

Questions and policy changes

For privacy questions, use Settings → Feedback with the title “Privacy request.” A separate public support email is not available yet. See the support page for the current contact route.

We will update this page and its effective date when our handling of information changes. This policy describes the current beta; future online features will need an updated explanation before they are introduced.
